Cuba will be next year the destination chosen by the British to spend their vacations in the Caribbean Sea, according to the online travel agency Loveholidays, from UK, cited by the magazine Caribbean News Digital.

The executive of the specialized Tourist Destinations Portal, Jonny Marsh, said the largest island of the Antilles has the 70% of all reservations made to the region for 2014. Furthermore, he stressed that Cuba “offers a tremendous value to the British for the quality-to-price ratio of its products.
According to Marsh, to this day, Cuba was off the radar of the mainstream of the area, however, at present, the new products that Cuba has to offer are among the main attractions for English travellers in the area.
Cuba has a tourist infrastructure that exceeds 60,000 rooms in approximately 300 hotels across the country.
UK is the second largest source of tourists to Cuba, after Canada.
