Cuban authorities adopted new regulations to facilitate seamanship activities, based on regulations for marina operations.
According to regulations, the island will allow boats for leisure in pleasure trip stay in the country up to five years, which may also be extended.

The clearance process for leisure boats from abroad will be directed by the Captain in the Port where the marina lies.

Also, those interested in visiting Cuban marinas can send information in advance on the boat, crew and passengers, which will facilitate the access to territorial waters.

The disposition also addresses thoroughly the different requirements a marina needs to be enabled and establishes the features in each existing category.
